How to split a PDF or extract specific pages

Last updated: June 25, 2026

Not everyone needs the whole document. Maybe you want pages 1–3 of a contract, just the invoice from a long statement, or to break a 40-page scan into individual files. Splitting a PDF lets you keep exactly what you need and nothing else.

Extract a page range

  1. Open the Split PDF tool and choose your file.
  2. Keep the mode on Extract a page range.
  3. Type the pages you want, e.g. 1-3, 5, 8-10.
  4. Press Split PDF — a new PDF with just those pages downloads.

Split every page into its own file

Need each page separately? Switch the mode to Split every page into separate PDFs and press the button. You'll get a ZIP containing one PDF per page, already numbered in order — handy for filing scanned documents or sending pages individually.

How to write a page range

Private, like everything here

Splitting happens in your browser. The PDF is never uploaded, so even a sensitive contract or statement stays on your device.

Frequently asked questions

Will the extracted pages keep their quality?

Yes — pages are copied exactly, so text stays sharp and selectable.

Can I reorder pages while splitting?

To reorder, extract the pages you need, then use Merge PDF to assemble them in the order you want.
